Thematically, stillness and reflection are central, alluding to the stillness which was necessary for a glass-like reflection and a metaphor for nature's ability to coax us to reflect.
Ashton Watkins is photographer residing primarily on the east coast of the United States. He has worked for major brands shooting products and models.
When not shooting in the studio, he enjoys photographing landscapes and abstract subject matter. His personal photography strives to be multi-dimensional; first abstract, then revealing. Reflection and contrast are two prevalent themes throughout his work.
He took his first photography in grade school shooting on an Olympus 35mm and working in the darkroom. Now he works in the digital environment with Photoshop, Lightroom, CaptureOne and other digital photo management programs.
