Blue Ridge

National Park

Ridgelines extend as far as the eye can see from Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.

Among many things, I am an amateur photographer living in Baltimore, MD. I have always attempted to make quality photographs, even with a point and shoot. The first time I remember really understanding the power of photography was when I saw a Philippe Halsman exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC. His use of photography to capture the essence of his subjects was fascinating.

For me, photography is not just about taking pictures, it is about the process. It is about the events and interactions that I experience while undertaking the activity of photography.
