It’s that time of year again! The La Cienega Design Quarter is hosting their annual Legends event May 3rd through May 5th. Every year thousands of designers and tastemakers gather on a stretch of La Cienega that is home to some of the most prestigious design showrooms and galleries in the world. This year’s event theme is “One of a Kind” and will feature over 60 storefront windows transformed by influential designers such as Kendall Wilkinson, Jamie Bush, Jay Jeffers, Nate Berkus and more.
Here are some of the parties, keynotes and panel discussions we are looking forward to during this 3 day event:
Tuesday
Legends Opening Gala at Fig & Olive! This is always a fun party as everyone is excited about the days ahead. This year’s event will be hosted a a larger venue than past years and will give attendees an opportunity to mix and mingle with design elites. If you are up for it (and can get on the guest list), Woven Accents is hosting the after party in their amazing Melrose Ave. showroom.
Wednesday
We are looking forward to attending the Blogger Breakfast bright and early on Weds. morning. Hosted by Anna Brockway, co-founder, Chairish, and Newell Turner, Editorial Director, Hearst Design Group and Metropolitan Home, this will be a fun way to start the day. After that we are going to head over to the “Putting Social Media In its Place” Keynote moderated by Marisa Marcantonio of the Stylebeat Blog.
Thursday
On Thursday we can’t wait to get to Stark Home to here Nate Berkus’ Keynote “Collected: Living With the Things You Love in A Well-Curated Home.” After putting a few more panels under our belt we are going to head over to one of our all time favorite showrooms Harbinger for the Hearst Design Group Cocktail party sponsored by Moore & Giles.
If you don’t have a chance to make it to any of the scheduled events or Keynotes, Friday is a great day to take a walk down the LCDQ to visit showrooms and see the work of the interior design community’s most influential members. The windows are so spectacular and only remain intact for a short time. We hope to see you on the LCDQ!
