Port of Los Angeles Labor Dispute Captured by Photographer Mike Kelley

With our corporate headquarters based in Los Angeles, CA, PurePhoto has been closely following the recent labor disputes between the longshoremen’s union and shipowners at the Port of Los Angeles. Shipowners decided to halt the unloading and loading of cargo recently which is causing a huge backup within the West Coast Ports.

Negotiations seem to be at a standstill, as do the trucks coming into and out of the area. Photographer Mike Kelley, known for his stunning aerial photographs of Los Angeles, jumped into a helicopter and took off from LAX to capture this event as it unfolded last week.
