Les Copines, Impromptu
My inspiration for this series was Renoir. My camera becomes my paintbrush as I connect impressionism with 21st century photography.
I began my fine art series Dreamscapes while traveling along the coastal towns of the Costa Brava in Spain. I wanted the whole image to convey an impression, to evoke an emotion. I discovered that the very same towns where I was photographing, were the same towns the Impressionist came to paint. Part color field painter, part abstractionist and part impressionist, my camera has become my paint brush. "The eye sees clearer in dreams, than the imagination awake". Leonardo da Vinci.
I studied photography at the Kunstgewerbeschule, Zurich, Switzerland. I then returned to the States and opened a successful photography
studio in San Francisco, Several years ago, I relocated my studio to Palm Beach, Florida.
