Local stream that feeds the Cove and into Narragansett Bay / Providence River and the Atlantic Ocean. From what I know the name of the cove might be translated to the little place where the river ends, but I am not exactly sure, seeing I am not fluent in the Narragansett or Algonquin Language. I do know it is a tidal stream, quiet and peaceful. This photograph was made with Kodak 4x5 film in a Sears Delmar 4x5 box camera. The negative was made in a coffee based film developer i make with a sumatra coffee beans I roast myself.
i have been a freelance photographer since about 1988, shooting everything from weddings to portraits to site architecture / documentation. while i have and use digital cameras, i would rather my initial image be created using traditional materials. i use film and paper and glass and metal as negatives. i coat things myself with emulsion. in addition to silver based images, i also make iron based ones, called cyanotypes.
