The 'Cat-Flap' Bridge

Symmetry

This bridge joins the Irish counties of Waterford and Kilkenny. It's known locally as 'The Cat Flap' because it lets the people from Kilkenny (AKA the Cats) in and out. The fog was so thick you couldn't see the top of it. I got a little too up close and personal with some articulated lorries when taking this. Not the safest location, and I have to question the sobriety of whoever painted the line just right of the central median!

Born and raised in Ireland, photographer and artist Maggy Morrissey is greatly inspired by the beautiful coast of her homeland, but also travels to other locations throughout Europe to make her very recognisable photographs.

Her calming, minimalist style, successfully blending her love of painting and photography, forms part of art collections worldwide. She has held numerous exhibitions in Dublin, where she is now based.
