Looking Back [At Me]

While observing the snow clinging to a tree as large flakes fell, I noticed what appeared to be an "eye" in the lower left corner. This happenstance occurred with the positive/negative space of the snow on the branches, the shape of the branches and "blank" background.

Born, raised, and educated on the vast Prairie of the Midwest, I became enamored with photography while studying fine art at a small university. Soon, the Prairie that I explored visually would expand to include all corners of the US and Europe.
I honed my skills using traditional film and darkroom techniques, while creating my own chemistry "blends". Visually I sought out elements of texture, patterns, geometry (or lack thereof) within landscapes and manmade structures.
