Louvre [Pei Pyramid]

Double Exposure

Stairs and escalator double exposure with a 35mm Widelux film camera under the I.M. Pei Pyramid in the Louvre, Paris.
Creating a dream metaphor while visiting Europe, I intentionally mis-loaded a 35mm Widelux camera in order to "blur" the boundaries of the dream state. Part of a series.

Born, raised, and educated on the vast Prairie of the Midwest, I became enamored with photography while studying fine art at a small university. Soon, the Prairie that I explored visually would expand to include all corners of the US and Europe.
I honed my skills using traditional film and darkroom techniques, while creating my own chemistry "blends". Visually I sought out elements of texture, patterns, geometry (or lack thereof) within landscapes and manmade structures.
Once accepting the reality that digital photography was here to stay, I soon learned that I could achieve results well beyond the traditional darkroom.... All photographs Copyright Michael Berry Photography 2016
