Washoe Winter


A solitary tree stands bare in the chill air of a Washoe Valley, Nevada, winter.

A long-time IT guy, I was bitten by the photography bug after discovering the joys of backpacking in Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks in California. My love for all things Landscape comes through in my photography with my slightly non-traditional approach to image selection. I prefer harsher, often catastrophic imagery (such as renewal after wildfires) and images with a cooler tone. I am not your average waterfall and blooming flower photographer, and I hope to present that to everyone that chooses to view my collections here on PurePhoto. My new website/blog is at
