Drive in Sign

Automobile Culture

Part of a small series on the Hill Top Drive In. A local RI Drive In that everyone went to, through the 1980s, and then ... it fell into disrepair, and eventually the land was sold and used for something else.

Classic american car culture architecture.
This was taken with a 35mm camera, and kodak film, and is a scan of an original black and white print.

i have been a freelance photographer since about 1988, shooting everything from weddings to portraits to site architecture / documentation. while i have and use digital cameras, i would rather my initial image be created using traditional materials. i use film and paper and glass and metal as negatives. i coat things myself with emulsion. in addition to silver based images, i also make iron based ones, called cyanotypes.
