Greg Lotus is an American fashion and portrait photographer celebrated for his unique style that merges high fashion with natural and often rustic elements. Lotus’s journey into photography began serendipitously after he was scouted by Eileen Ford of Ford Models. After exploring modeling, he soon realized his passion lay behind the camera, photographing his fellow models and honing his craft.
Moving to Paris was a pivotal step, where he connected with key figures in fashion like Carole Dardanne and Franca Sozzani, former editor of Vogue Italia, which launched his career internationally. His work has since been featured in top publications like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and GQ. Known for his evocative compositions, Lotus often incorporates elements from nature, using animals and organic settings to create striking contrasts with his human subjects. This style has earned him collaborations with luxury brands like Cartier, L’Oreal, Swarovski, and Neiman Marcus.
Over his career, Lotus has presented several exhibitions, including notable shows at Art Basel Miami and a solo exhibition titled “Impressions” in New York. He continues to split his time between Miami, New York, and Paris, maintaining a distinctive place in the world of fashion photography by capturing timeless, emotive scenes that blend elegance with an edge of the natural world.
“Photography is not just about capturing an image, it’s about capturing a moment in time, that can never be replicated. It’s about telling a story and evoking emotion through a single frame.”
